Melamine dinneware. To maintain a glossy finish, avoid the use of abrasives. Sponges or woven plastic pads are recommended. Should be washed in water which is at least 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Never use a chlorine based detergent, either for regular cleaning or when destaining the melamine dishes. To prevent staining, periodical soaking dishes in a diluted, oxygen-releasing compound is recommended. Ensure the the dishes are well rinsed after soaking.
